2024 Daily Training Routine

2024 marked year #4 of my athletic/sporting activities experiment…and still felt good about staying within the limits of my body’s capabilities. Actually, began to wonder/entertain the idea that I was getting close to “complete” adaptation to this new-daily/monthly-groove…getting close!!

All new activities were also incorporated into the monthly rotation of sports for 2024…activities that brought with them additional “Insights”. Discovered a hidden talent/passion for Ice Skating…and ended up trying to get on the ice as often as possible during the 4month season at Bryant Park (November to February)…something about the flow of gliding combined with my need for speed coupled with dancing!!! Also, January’s Daily Qi Gong, had the dual effect of physical healing + mental calming…that I summarily incorporated this as part of my daily routine i.e. all 366days of 2024! I’m fairly convinced that the Daily Qi Gong was basically responsible for keeping me injury free throughout the year as the activities mileage piled on.

Ps: Regarding 2023’s ‘Training-Injury Prevention Paradox Model’ note, amassed more data in 2024 that while not quite yet “proving” this model, “heavily supports” the model’s claim. 2024’s Training Load Total [713hrs | 42,780min] vs 2023’s Training Load Total [503hrs |30.155min]…and despite the substantially higher training loads, felt stronger and stayed injury free.
